
Wicked: For Good, the follow-up to the box office smash, Wicked, comes out in just a few weeks, but first, fans are getting a special treat: the Wicked: One Wonderful Night special! This two-hour musical special celebrates the upcoming conclusion of the Wicked story, featuring the film’s stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, alongside fellow cast members including Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode.
Wicked: One Wonderful Night also has interviews with the cast, behind-the-scenes moments, and, according to the press release, “maybe even a sneak peek at what's to come in the next chapter of Oz."
The Wicked special aired on NBC on Nov. 6, and is now available to stream on Peacock. Here’s what else you need to know and how to watch.
What is Wicked: One Wonderful Night?
The upcoming two-hour Wicked TV special will celebrate the release of Wicked: For Good and serve as a love letter to one of the most iconic musicals of all time. The special was filmed at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, transforming the venue into the Emerald City, and will feature reimagined musical arrangements, complete with a 37-piece live orchestra led by the award-winning musical director Stephen Oremus. It will also delve into the behind-the-scenes process of the first film, with cast interviews and perhaps even a sneak peek at the upcoming Wicked sequel.
Wicked stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode will all make appearances in the special.
